Manufacturer: Airbus SE
Type: Medium Wide-body Freighter
Overview
The Airbus A330-200F is Airbus’s first purpose-built long-range freighter, positioned as a direct competitor to the 767-300F. Entering service in 2010, the A330-200F offered a modern twin-engine alternative for airlines needing flexibility in medium-to-long haul operations. Unlike most freighters, it features a unique “main deck floor raiser” design to accommodate both nose-up and level ground-loading scenarios across diverse airport layouts. Though fewer units were produced compared to Boeing counterparts, the A330-200F became a popular choice among carriers in the Middle East and Asia.
The A330P2F (Passenger to Freighter) is a conversion program developed by Airbus, ST Aerospace, and EFW, designed to give aging A330 passenger aircraft a second life in cargo service. With global demand for e-commerce capacity rising, the A330P2F offers a compelling mid-capacity solution, particularly for operators seeking 767-sized performance with Airbus cockpit and systems commonality. The A330-300P2F is ideal for high volume, lower-density freight.
